Who's Next to go to the MLS?

we all know the 5 players abroad in the US, but there is still other players who have the potential to play in the mls, before we start getting ahead of ourselves and start speaking europe, these players must prove them selves at a professional level, because no offense to the players in El Salvador but it is only a semi-pro league(Exclude, Alianza,Fas and Aguila) if you compare it to the MLS we are not at that level, yet anyways. But which players can make it here, lets see you got Alfredo Pacheco who does good in FAS but already had a stint with red bulls and didn't show anything exceptional but got by, but hopefully this wont be the case for the new guys there, because El Capi Sanchez has held up good with the earthquakes. But who will be the next players to leave, Alex Escobar, Manuel Salazar, Rodolfo Zelaya, and Mardoqueo Henriquez all these players have shown promise in there play, more of a project player then a full out starter exception(Escobar can start) , the team that takes a chance on these players will have to be patient and give them a couple of shots, because like pacheco they just rushed it. my prediction by mid season of the mls one of these players will be out, plus the upcoming 3 games will really help these players on being scouted.

3 New MLS faces to watch for

With Arturo Alvarez and Ramon Sanchez(Both with San Jose Earthquakes),Cristian Castillo(DC United), Julio Martinez(Chicago Fire), Osael Romero(Chivas USA)join the MLS to make it 5 players to watch for this season in the MLS.

On Osael Romero to Chivas USA

Chivas USA head coach Martin Vasquez "a young player who in two years has played probably 37 games for his national team and has scored eight goals" and has also "been scoring a lot of goals for his club team in El Salvador.

"So that's what we saw. We're excited. Also, he's very young. He's got a lot of potential and he's very excited to come and be a part of Chivas USA."

Bringing in Romero will not plug the gap left by those two experienced and hard-nosed players, but it will add some offensive thrust to the Chivas midfield. In fact, Romero could be a starter right away.

"On paper, of course," Vasquez said. "But he has to make the adjustment. He has shown he can play at every level. He's played World Cup qualifiers, which in my opinion are a better level than MLS, so if he's starting for his national team, he should be starting for us."

Dallas had filed a discovery claim on the player, which is why Chivas USA had to pay a fee for his rights in the form of allocation money. The amount was not revealed, but Romero will be with Chivas USA on loan from his El Salvador club team this season.

In announcing his acquisition, Chivas USA quoted Romero as saying he was "looking forward to the challenge" of playing in MLS.

Chivas USA is hoping Romero will connect with local fans as well as another Salvadoran international midfielder -- Mauricio Cienfuegos -- who carved out an exceptional career with the Galaxy.

Cristian Castillo to DC United

GM Dave Kasper of DC UNITED on Cristian Castillo

"We are excited to acquire a young player like Cristian, who we feel is one of the most talented players in El Salvador. He has performed well at the club level and certainly established himself as one of the most important players on the national team in the recent World Cup qualifying campaign. Cristian has excellent speed and technical ability, and will be an exciting addition to our midfield.”

Julio Martinez to Chicago Fire

Head Coach Carlos De Los Cobos of Chicago Fire On Julio Maritnez

"Julio is a true professional with a winner's mentality who will come in and help our team," said Coach de los Cobos. "I could not be happier about his signing and look forward to incorporating him in with the rest of the guys." "Martinez is an exciting player who's known for his middle-range shooting and ability to score goals and I think he'll make an excellent addition to our roster," said Fire technical director Frank Klopas.

now its just to wait and see how they play and see if they can live up to there praise.

Well being ranked #71 is no Brazil or Spain but it is a big improvement from #169 back in 2006, Nicaragua currently holds the #162 spot.

Bradley names home-based squad

Forward Brian Ching and defender Michael Orozco are among the 23 home-based players called up by USA coach Bob Bradley for a training camp prior to this month's 2010 FIFA World Cup™ tune-up against El Salvador.

The group features 21 players from the training camp that preceded a 23 January friendly against Honduras, and 10 of the 11 players that started that match - which Honduras won 3-1. The 24 February match against El Salvador in Tampa, Florida, will be one of the last before the 2010 FIFA World Cup squad is named in May.

New additions to the training camp roster are Ching, who plays for the Houston Dynamo and was a member of the Germany 2006 squad, and Orozco. Ching is the veteran on the roster with 10 goals in 43 international appearances. Orozco was acquired by the Major League Soccer expansion club Philadelphia Union on 29 January from the Mexican club San Luis.

"These are important opportunities for these players as we continue to formulate our plans for the roster for the World Cup," Bradley said. "This camp and the game against El Salvador provide a chance for the coaching staff to get one more long look at this group.

"El Salvador demonstrated during World Cup qualifying that they are a difficult team to beat, so we expect a good match. We had great fan support in our last visit to Raymond James Stadium, and we are looking forward to getting back to Tampa."

USA, preparing for a sixth consecutive FIFA World Cup appearance, will meet England on 12 June in their opener in South Africa and then also face Slovenia and Algeria in the first round.
